About Hayley Ninnis

I’m Hayley Ninnis, originator of Hayley’s Vintage Clothing and Jewelry. At a very early age, I became fascinated with vintage clothing and accessories. Most definitely, I inherited my passion from a Mom that dragged me to every auction within a 20-mile radius – she had a penchant for vintage handbags! What started out as a painful way to spend a night (one time I was actually picked up and they pretended to auction me off) has turned into a wonderful journey.

As a clothes designer and seamstress, I attended the Art Institute of Philadelphia but decided to pursue a career as a psychologist. Relocating to West Chester, Pennsylvania, I earned my Associate Degree in Psychology from Delaware County Community College transferred to Penn State to complete my degree in Psychology. Combining my love for fashion and desire to build a vintage store, my next steps include plans to obtain an MBA at Penn State.

I am an avid student of power Vinyasa yoga, and I am soon to complete (hopefully Fall of 2015) the 200 hours of training necessary to obtain my teaching certification from Power Yoga Works in Malvern, Pennsylvania. I have also taken several courses in glassblowing from East Falls Glassworks in Philadelphia where I found a well-established community of artists who enjoy learning how to create a vast array of both unique and functional items.

I consider myself a master hula hooper (mostly kidding) and most definitely an inventive seamstress. As a matter of fact, I am currently refurbishing and antique White sewing machine. I have take taken courses in astronomy, (favorite constellation – either Gemini or Cassiopeia) learned carding and spinning from classes at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills and enjoy tie-dying.

But stay tuned. I am currently learning how to play the ukulele and will be launching a YouTube channel – called, of course – Hayley plays the Ukulele.
